After 5 months of no correspondence, the Zodiac Killer surfaces through a letter to the L.A. Times on March 13, 1971. He emphasizes "AIR Mail" and includes "fiddle and fart around" as slang for dragging their feet. He includes what is interpreted as a body count of 17.
